Your new role
The successful candidate has a broad IT coverage linking the roles of Run and Ops, with management capabilities and leadership spirit and attitude.
He will be responsible for
- Providing guidance and expertise on system options, risks, impact and costs vs. benefits;
- Creating and share operational requirements and development forecasts to allow for timely and accurate planning of projects;
- Deploying new modules and upgrades and complete fixes within the production environment;
- Building automated deployments through the use of configuration management technology;
- Running regular checks on network and data security;
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems;
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation;
- Coaching and mentoring team members;
- Coordinating application of software releases.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in Open Source Development and Systems Administration.
