Sodexo is currently implementing a Shared Services Center in Porto that will support several countries across Europe with the processes of Record to Report, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Master Data, Training & Continuous Improvement, among others.  You will be responsible for:

  • Review open accounts for collection efforts;

  • Make outbound collection calls for strategic accounts in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations;

  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management;

  • Effectively track, report and escalate all outstanding disputed items;

  • Follow and implement the company collections procedure;

  • Reconcile customer statements/billings;

  • Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.




What you'll need to Succeed:


  • A minimum of 3-5 years' credit and collections background preferably working with in a shared services environment;

  • Demonstrated communication, organizational and follow-up skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of General Accounting Principles and ability to perform account reconciliations

  • Ability to interact with high-level management, both internal and external

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and to work independently in an organized manner with strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely and present numerical data effectively



  • Experience in use of Office applications and ERP system application (SAP);

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/ Business is a plus.

  • Proficiency in English or Dutch;
